Week of January 30- February 3, 2017

Wow! its the 4th week of the 4th six weeks. I want to thank all students foe a magnificent weeks last week.  I was amazed with the quality of work put into the MENU project they we amazing.  this week we will be covering strong verbs.  What are strong verbs? How do they benefit our writing? I want you to keep these two questions in mine when discussing strong verbs this week.

Week of January 23-27, 2017


This is the 3rd week of the 4th six weeks.  We will be taking the writing mini assessment on Monday, January 23rd.  The test will be on all objectives taught during the 1st and 2nd week of the 4th six weeks.  The test will cover: capitalization rules, degree of compassion, interjections, pronouns, and the different types of introductions for expository essays. Students are to study their interactive notebook for notes on the objectives covered.  Also, reminder to keep on working on the MENU Project.  The project is due on January the 25th.  Students will also present their final project to their classmates and explain/ inform them what their restaurant offers.

Last week was a very productive one, lets make this week a great one.  remember for students to continue to work on their MENU project. Students will be creating a menu for their restaurant. Students have a choice weather they are going to do it by computer or handwritten. Week of January 9-13

Welcome back Everyone!!! Hope that you all are well-rested and full of energy.  We will have a review on some of the basic grammar rules (capitalization, degree of comparison)this week.  Also,  I will be introducing introductions for expository writing.  There are many types of introductions for expository writing we will be learning to pick the one that best suits the essay being constructed.


Remember this is the fist week of the second semester of this school year, lets make this one a memorable one. Basic reminders classes start at 8:05 am. Please make sure that you are here on time everyday it is very important for you not to miss out on any information being delivered.  Also, remember to turn in all assignments and projects on time.

Lets make this week the best of it.
